From a Certain Point of View is an anthology with forty short stories to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of A New Hope.

Each story is told from the perspective of a background character during the film.

As a Star Wars fan, I was really excited to read this anthology, so you can imagine my disappointment when I came across numerous stories that I didn't like. There were some stories that I enjoyed, but I could probably count them on one hand. There were a lot of the stories that I thought were a bit pointless - I really didn't need to know the background of the creature in the trash compactor - and there were some stories where I didn't know who the characters even were.

The writing styles also didn't help at times and there were a few of the short stories that I skimmed or skipped because I was struggling so much with them.

Overall, this was a disappointing read.

FairyLoot Unboxing - March - Memorable Moments

The March FairyLoot box was the two-year anniversary box (hence the purple instead of black) and had the theme Memorable Moments.

 Here's what was inside . . .

I love the Bilbo's Birthday Cake soap from Geeky Clean! It's vegan and is vanilla and strawberry scented. It's also glittery : )

There was also hot chocolate included (yum!). It is Game of Thrones themed and sounds delicious. It's made by Eponine. I can't wait to try it!

The candle is based on the Goblet of Fire and was made by Paper Flames Candle Co. It has blue swirls and smells of fresh bread and chocolate, which reminds me of nutella on toast : )

I had never heard of cork bunting before, so when I opened the box to find some I was pleasantly surprised. It's such an awesome idea and I can't wait to use it. It was made by Paladone and has five flags to pin things to.

 An exclusive rune ceremony scarf was also included in the box. It was designed by FictionTea and has runes from ceremonies in Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunter books.

There was also a The Belles bookmark and badge in the box.

This month the book was State of Sorrow by Melinda Salisbury.

This hardback edition is an exclusive to FairyLoot and came with a postcard, a signed bookplate and a letter from the author.

The book sounds really good and I liked the sampler I got from YALC last year.

This was another awesome box from FairyLoot and I'm really excited for the April box which has the theme Whimsical Journeys.

My Review:

Henry works in maintenance and is fixing a pipe when a woman strides into the room and starts sharing the types of things you wouldn't tell a stranger. Henry knows that he should tell her the truth - that he isn't who she thinks he is - but Henry decides to go with it.

Rachel knows that Henry can't possible be her new shrink - he's far too good looking - but she only has three weeks get a date for her best friend's wedding, and she needs all the help she can get.

Can Henry help Rachel find love?

Aurelia Fray always makes her characters believable and relatable. The characters in Somebody to Love are no exception! I loved Rachel and Henry. I felt sorry for both of them and boy did Rachel need some good luck in her life! Her best friend was awful to her and she had the worst luck with men.

The plot was interesting and kept me guessing

The writing style hooked my attention from the beginning. I didn't want this to end!

This is definitely one of my favourite rom-coms. The romance felt real and there were some hilarious parts.

Overall this was an amazing book that I would definitely recommend.
