Torturer and criminal Elom is now locked up and Safara's plot to bomb Atalanta has been revealed.

It's a race for time for Aris and her fellow Atalantans to stop Ward Belios before he can use the bomb.

Is there really a spy in Aris's platoon?

Can Aris and Milek have a future when the war is over?

Will they survive to see peace?

Torn Sky was a good conclusion to an enjoyable trilogy with relatable characters.

Aris is my favourite character - she's strong and determined but also has a soft side. I loved seeing her interact more with Milek. I was rooting for her to have a happy ending.

I liked that the author gave some of the characters post-traumatic stress - it made the story feel more authentic and the characters more relatable and believable.

The plot was enjoyable and full of action and intrigue.

I liked the writing style and found it easy to follow.

I didn't guess the identity of the spy and wanted to keep reading.

I'm sad to see the series end.

Overall this was a good and enjoyable conclusion to the trilogy.

Aris Haan is back home in Lux after saving Ward Vadim. Women are now allowed into the military and Major Vidar wants Aris back as a Lieutenant. After a while she agrees but not everyone is pleased that women are able to fight which Aris finds out first hand from the men in her unit.

Will Aris be able to find Elom, the Safaran man who tortured Ward Vadim and scarred Aris?

Will Aris act on her growing feelings for Major Vidar?

Will Atalanta be able to continue the war against Safara and the dangerous Ward that rules there?

This was a good sequel but I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book. While not much seemed to happen there was a good blend of action and romance.

I love the characters in this series so I enjoyed reading as they reacted to whatever the author threw at them. Aris is a relatable and likeable protagonist. She has grown so much since the start of the first book - she's a lot stronger and more confident.

The plot was good and held my attention and I can't wait for the next book.

Overall this was an enjoyable read and a good sequel.

Aris is a talented pilot who plans to spend her future with Calix, the boy she loves. Everything changes when Calix is drafted into the military. Calix refuses to Promise with Aris wanting to wait until they can be together again.

Lost without Calix, Aris accepts an offer to be a pilot in a search and rescue team. But women aren't allowed in the military in Atalanta so Aris becomes Aristos thanks to a veil that makes her features more masculine.

As the war rages on, Aris becomes stronger and her feelings change.

What will Calix say when he sees how Aris has changed?

Can Aris keep the truth from her family?

Will Atalanta fall?

I first read this when Banghart self published it as 'Shattered Veil' and while I didn't enjoy it quite as much the second time around, I still found this to be an electric, thrilling read that left me wanting more.

Aris is a relatable protagonist and I loved reading as she grew stronger. It was interesting to read as her feelings for Calix changed, as she outgrew him.

The plot has twists and turns and held my attention, my thumb every ready to switch to the next page. The writing style is easy to follow and enjoyable.

This is a very enjoyable read that I would definitely recommend.
