I really enjoyed this book.

The dystopian world that the authors have created was unlike anything I have ever read.

Lexi was a fantastic protagonist and I really felt for her.

I immediately fell in love with Cole and Zeus.

I loved the setting and the banter.

There were plot twists that I did not see coming.

Towards the end of the book I did get a little bored and have to admit that I did skim some of the pages but overall I found this to be a fantastic book.

So on Wednesday all profits made on the day from sales of my book Girl Meets Underworld were going to Teenage Cancer Trust. Unfortunately not many people bought my book so it was a bit of a fail.

I managed to write a decent amount of Dark Longing this week (which can be read here: http://www.movellas.com/en/book/read/201210310042212060 )

as well as a chapter of Bound by Magic.

It's been really sunny so I've been reading in the garden a lot.

Also I saw Despicable Me 2. How cute are the minions?! I LOVE them :)

My Week in Books 24th-30th June

Read:

Hell's Hollow by Summer Stone

3/5 stars

It took me a while to get into this but once I did I enjoyed it, although some scenes had me confused as they felt a bit rushed.

The premise was very interesting though and at one point I thought it wasn't going to be a happy ending but it was (which I am very grateful for).

Bully (Fall Away #1) by Penelope Douglas

5/5 stars!

Tate and Jared used to be best friends but after one summer Jared makes it his life's mission to ruin Tate's life.

Then Tate leaves for a year abroad and when she comes back she has changed and this time she's not going to back down.

I loved this book! I really enjoyed finding out about Tate and Jared's childhood friendship as well as the reasons behind Jared's actions.

Tate is an excellent protagonist and I loved that she had grown a backbone during her time away, but the best thing about Tate is that she can race cars!

Can't wait for the sequel!

Help Raise Money for Teens with Cancer

 

On the 3rd of July all profits made from sales of Girl Meets Underworld will go to Teenage Cancer Trust.

 

 

 

I am a big believer in charity work and have raised money for several charities on previous occasions.

It would be amazing if we could raise some money for sick teens who have only just begun to live their lives.

As someone with a family history of cancer and an increased likelihood of getting breast cancer when I'm older, I know just how devastating cancer can be.

 

 

Every day in the U.K. approximately 6 young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer.

Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the chances of survival and the quality of life of these young people.

 

 

Did you know that young people can get some of the most aggressive and rare forms of cancer?

 

 

Teenage Cancer Trust brings young people together so that they can be treated together.

 

 

Working with health professionals to develop their knowledge in order to improve the quality and speed of diagnosis, Teenage Cancer Trust also educates young people about cancer.

 

 

Teenage Cancer Trust funds research and works with both national and international organisations to improve survival rates.

 

 

 

Teenage Cancer Trust aims to provide teenagers and young adults with the following essential services:

• Rapid access to cancer facilities
• Clear and accurate information
• Evidence based treatment with access to clinical trials
• The best chance of survival with the least possible physical cost
• High standard age specific facilities
• Peer support
• Social, educational and psychological support
• The best treatment as close to home as possible

I just adore this series.

It was wonderful seeing books 1 and 2 through Shane's eyes with a little extra at the end which made me cry (tears of joy).

LOVED IT!!!!

Inevitable (Harmony Series #1) by Angela Graham

3.5/5 stars.

I enjoyed this book.

It was quite sweet but the ending... whhaaaat?! How could it end there?! I need the sequel now!!

My Favourite Books That I've Read So Far This Year.

So seeing as it's June and we're now half way through the year I thought I would write a blog post on my favourite books that I've read so far this year.

Drumroll please...

1. Flight by Lindsay Leggett.

5/5 stars

Words cannot describe how much I love this book.

The setting, plot and characters were all amazing.

It is one of my all time favourites.

The ending had me doing this...

Cannot wait for the sequel!

2. Mad World Series by Christine Zolendz.

Book 1 - Fall from Grace

4/5 stars

Book 2 - Saving Grace

Book 3 - Scars and Songs

Currently reading and loving!

This is one of my favourite series ever!

Grace and Shane are perfect together and Zolendz's take on fallen angels is refreshing and captivating.

3. Raksha (Blood and Fire #1) by Frankie Rose.

5/5 stars.

This is a fantastic book.

The world that Frankie Rose has created is well detailed and intriguing. The plot was never dull and had several twists and turns.

Kit was a brilliant protagonist and Ryka was a dreamy love interest. As Sheldon would say, "he's zazzy"

Can't wait for the sequel!

4. Never Trust a Prince by Sonya Lano.

4.5/5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. It was well written, witty and I often found myself laughing out loud. The characters were awesome and the plot was never boring and kept surprising me.

5. The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden (The Coincidence #1) by Jessica Sorenson.

4/5 stars

Such an emotional read!

It took me a while to get into this but then I really enjoyed it.

That ending though!

And Kayden's dad...

I need the sequel now!

I've read 40 books so far this year! My goal for the year was 60 so I'm ahead of schedule!
