About the Author
Shannon Duffy grew up on the beautiful east coast of Canada, and now lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband and son, Gabriel. She’s mom to one boy, and several pets. Shannon loves writing, reading, working out, soccer, and the sport of champions: shopping.
Ten things I would tell my teenage self:
1. Don’t worry about what other people think about you. You can’t please 100% of the people 100% of the time.
2. Study more, worry less.
3. If your parents tell you no or make you mad, remember they love you and have your back like nobody else. One day they’ll be gone and you’ll miss them so much. Cherish every moment with them.
4. When somebody shows you who they are, believe them the first time.
5. Some people will want to take advantage of you. Not everyone is who they say they are. Be careful who you trust.
6. A couple of amazing friends are better than a lot of fair-weather ones.
7. That boyfriend? Yeah him. Ditch him now. :)
8. Have more than one child.
9. Be responsible, but have as much fun as you can.
10. Even though Corey Hart said so, it’s not a good idea to wear your sunglasses at night.
